The Nasarawa state Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC), Tuesday, fixed November 14, 2020 for bye-election in Gangaren Tudu electoral ward of Keffi local government area.
Chairman of the commission, Ayuba Wandai-Usman, made the disclosure while briefing newsmen in Lafia.
He said the by-election followed the death of the councillor representing the ward Adamu Saleh on September 18, 2020.
“By the powers conferred on us, we fixed November 14 for the by-election and we assured you the election will be free, fair and credible,” he said.
He said all political parties and their candidates will be given a level playing ground to test their acceptability and popularity.
He also said all political parties are expected to hold their primaries between October 24 and 26 and summit the name of their candidates on or before October 28.
“Thereafter, sales of nomination forms are on October 30 and will be submitted on November 2, 2020.”
