NASPRI graduates 30 students from army and navy

As part of its contribution to the current military operations in the theatre of operations across the country, the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI), Bonny Cantonment, Victoria Island, Lagos, has recently graduated 30 students from Army and Navy in Basic Photography Course.

Addressing the students during the graduation ceremony held at the school auditorium, the Commandant Col John Agaim noted that the students should count themselves fortunate in their choice of Photograph as a career course, stressing that photo journalist always have the latitude to excel in even competitive  society.

According to him the post retirement stage of the students’ life could still be very bright if they determined to single themselves out of ever increasing crowd of those seeking for job.  He further stressed that besides establishing a viable photo studios, they could be photo journalists or stringers.
The Commandant, who expressed satisfaction over the performance of the students, also harped on the need for them to invest on their tools, especially the caliber of camera needed for them to be more proficient in their field of study in NASPRI.

He therefore charged the graduating students to make use of the good opportunity accorded them through the basic photography courses they were exposed to in NASPRI, adding that there would always be room for improving on their current performance.

Earlier the Chief Instructor, while appraising the course disclosed that the graduating students recorded about 80 percent success.  He also noted that the students were exposed to other Public Relations subjects, beside military package and other practical exposures.  He also said he was quite sure the students were given solid  foundation needed to build upon in their chosen career.
