NASS invasion, mace snatching evidence of failed state – MASSOB

The Comrade Uchenna Maduled Movement for Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has expressed happiness over the sudden invasion and seizure of the mace, the symbol of authority in the Senate by political thugs. The pro-Biafra group, in a statement released by its National Director of Information, Comrade Edeson Samuel, described the incident as evidence that Nigeria is a failed state that can never stand and asked all serving senators to return to their various constituencies as there is no longer any constitutional power backing their proceedings. “Seizure of the symbol of authority of the Senate means that the government of Nigeria has failed.
Every senator should return to his constituency because there is no longer constitutional power backing them. Imagine a higher chamber of the nation’s Assembly where security agents supposed to be at the highest alert, but sadly the reverse was the case. “We do not support anarchy or any abnormality but the sociopolitical, economic and religious events in Nigeria under the President Muhammadu Buhari administration have shown that Biafra restoration which MASSOB and other pro-Biafra groups have been agitating, has proven to be more legitimate,” Edeson added.
The MASSOB director of information added that, “the ugly development has also shown that the federal government of Nigeria has collapsed completely since unknown thugs could invade the National Assembly complex, entered the once hallowed chambers of the parliament in full and video-recorded view of the whole world, and made away with the symbol of authority without the feeblest resistance from the motley number of security agents. “It is obvious that President Buhari cannot provide security for the citizens of this political entity called Nigeria. It’s a pity thatthe senators of Nigeria have also failed the people.”
