NASS Renovation: Ebonyi lawmaker speaks on N37bn

The member representing Ezza south/ Ikwo federal constituency, Hon. Chinedu Ogah, weekend threw little light on the N37 billion estimated for renovation of the National Assembly.

Ogah who spoke to some Journalists in his Abakaliki residence said a lot of renovation needs to be done at the legislative complex Abuja.

He said, “Where you have 109 senators with their aides, you have 366 Reps members with their aides and other staff in that area. By the time you see that amount people are complaining about, you will see that the money is not even enough.

“Power has not been stabilized and the National Assembly is still burning diesel. Part of the money is going to be used for alternative power supply and you know the cost of power. So, the budget is not bad, it is something that can help this country to stabilized. If the National Assembly is not properly taken care of, you will not have good laws”, he said.

Meanwhile, Ogah elected on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the availability of fuel in every filling station across the country at this yuletide season.
