National Assembly and frivolous probes

It is ridiculous that the Senate wants to investigate the matter that a competent authority at the Obafemi Awolowo University is already handling very well.
One expected that the National Assembly would desist from such uncalled for action bearing in mind the very grave allegation made by the immediate past chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof Attahiru Jega, and corroborated by several respectable individuals.
Why duplicate what is already ongoing? What is the motive? Is there any need to scout for matters for investigate? How did oversight activities affect the unprecedented delay in passing the 2018 national budget? The Yoruba proverb states, “A Pe ni ole o n gbe omo Eran jo”.
One being accused of being a thief carrying a baby goat and dancing as if it were a human baby.
The penchant by the federal lawmakers for looking everywhere for matters to probe just has to stop.
