Naze Millionaires’ boss, scribe hospitalised after auto crash

The chairman and secretary of Globacom League side, Heartland FC of Owerri, Chief Fan Ndubuoke and Mr. Oscar Keke, are now responding to treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri, following an auto crash they had in Owerri last Saturday.
Information reaching our sports desk had it that Ndubuoke was billed to travel to Lagos after obtaining his ticket, but the need to finalize issues with Oscar, who had escorted him to the garage, necessitated further discussion, while they waited for the vehicle to fill up.

As they were standing a little bit away from where the vehicle was stationed, a jeep driven by a pastor, who was coming back from a night vigil, ran lost control and hit them. The duo sustained leg injuries and were then rushed to the hospital.
The commissioner for Sports in the state, Comrade Kenneth Emelu, had expressed shock at the accident and regretted that it happened at a time when members of the Heartland family were working round the clock to improve on their position on the league table. He wished them speedy recovery.
