NCPC boss mourns Balat

Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Mr John Kennedy Opara, has described the demise of Senator Isaiah Balat as “shocking and devastating.’’

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the head of the media unit of the Commission, Celestine Oguguo, the NCPC boss further described the late Balat as a “devout Christian, God-fearing and detribalised Nigerian who had contributed in no small measure to the political development of the country.”

He expressed sadness that the former Minister of State for Works and Housing died at a time when his services were most needed.
He said: “The Nigerian Christian pilgrim Commission will greatly miss the exit of this fine gentleman who was very supportive to the Commission.

“I wish the family of late Senator Balat, the government and good people of Kaduna state and the Presidency the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
