The executive secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Uja Tor Uja, has stated this year’s Easter pilgrimage to the Holy Land, Israel, will be flagged off on June 2, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

This was contained in a statement issued Thursday in Abuja by the media unit of the commission.

The statement indicated that the NCPC boss also said the commission “will hold a conference for Christian pilgrimage leaders and mangers in Nigeria on May 31, 2019, to put in place all necessary arrangements for a successful 2019 pilgrimage exercise.”

According to the statement, “Four international airports have been designated for the airlift of intending pilgrims to the Holy Land for this year’s Easter Pilgrimage; they include Port Harcourt International Airport, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, and Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano.”

“The executive secretary advises all intending pilgrims to be good ambassadors of Nigeria. The commission will also hold a pre-flag-off thanksgiving service on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at the NCPC Chapel,” the statement read in part.

The commission, according to the statement, “assures all intending pilgrims and stakeholders in the Christian pilgrimage project that all logistics have been put in place in Israel for a hitch-free pilgrimage operation.”
