NDA partners Prison on academic programmes


The technical team of the Post Graduate School of the Nigerian Defence Academy has entered into partnership with the Nigerian Prisons Staff College, Kaduna, as part of efforts to improve its academic programmes.
The team which was led by Prof. Labaran Salihu, was however, on a facility assessment recently for the proposed affiliation with the college that would lead to the award of a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) for cadets on 6 months course, and award of Certificate for 3 courses.
The visit, according to a statement was preceded by the Commandant’s visit to the Dean, Post Graduate School of the Academy, Prof AO Ahmed.
The Commandant, ACG KA Fadipe who was on a visit to the Academy for the purpose of exploring areas of collaboration with Nigeria Defence Academy to key into the academic programmes under their affiliation.
The proposed programmes for the award of the PGD certificate include: Correctional Studies, Penology, Criminology and Victimology and Security Studies.
A Power Point Presentation to showcase curriculum and the directing staff disposition was made by the Deputy Commandant, CP Amoran Olanrewaju while the team was conducted round the College facilities which includes: Administrative block, Library, Museum, Auditorium among others.
