NEPC deputy director loses mum @ 83, announces burial date

The deputy director and trade promotion advisor of the Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Uyo assistance office, Mrs Pauline Ndulaka, has lost her beloved mother, Mrs Mercy Adaoha Uhegbu, at the age of 83 years.

This was contained in a statement signed by Ndulaka and made available to Blueprint in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital on Wednesday.

According to the statement, late Uhegbu until her death was a devoted Christian with Methodist Church of Nigeria and community activist who worked for the improvement of lives in her community particularly women and children.

Part of the statement reads: “Her surviving children remain grateful to God that our mother was among the favoured ones who had lived a vurtous life by showing us the way of the Lord.

“Madam Mercy Adaoha Uhegbu was a very hardworking woman, who was very meticulous in her trading business ( clothing) to the admiration of others, she trained and nurtured a lot of people in her trade. She is a philanthropic who loves to give out her talent, time and substance both to those she knows and even strangers.

“Mama lived a very dedicated Christian life. She was an epitome of faith and love of God. She has gone through a lot of trials but she kept faith with God.

“She was very content with God’s provision and built up a joyful and peaceful home and accommodates everyone as her children. She was always there for her family, church and community.”

The statement also added that the family has announced April 9, 2021 for the remains of late Mercy Adaoha Uhegbu to be given the last respect in Umahia, Abia state.
