New Anambra Police Commissioner assumes office

CP Mustapha Dandaura has officially assumed duty as the new and 27th Commissioner of Police in Anambra state.
Dandaura, a former CP in charge of Railway Command Lagos, replaced Garba Umar, recently on transfer to another command.

The new Commissioner in an address after observing a Sentry Guard mounted in his honour at the quarter guard, assured Anambra residents of his readiness to tackle the menace of cultism, extortion and to ensure hitch free and credible elections in the State. 

He further charged Senior Police officers comprising Head of Departments (HODs) /Divisional Police Officer (DPOs) in the Command to remain professional in discharging their duties and for effective supervision of their subordinates. 

The CP further visited the scene of tanker explosion which claimed several lives at Amawbia roundabout last Saturday, where he commiserated with the state over the loss of lives and properties due to the fire incident. 


Blueprint reports that the former CP of the State Police Command, Garba Umar, had while handing over to Dandaura, commended Anambra residents for their support and cooperation.
He also implored them to extend to the new CP
