The 17th emir of Lafia ,Sidi Dauda Bage 1, has promised to take immediate steps to revive and reinstate the tittle of Galadiman Lafia of the Musa Gana ruling house to its proper position in the emirate council.
He stated this on Tuesday when the Galadiman Lafia Alhaji Muhammad Jibrin and other descendants of the Musa Gana ruling house paid him homage on his emergence as the new emir of Lafia at his Maitama resident in Abuja.
The emir said for years the tittle of Galadima has been relegated to the background by previous emirs in the emirate and promised to do all he could within his power to bring back it past glory.
“As a successor of the paramount stool of the revered Lafia emirate i will ensure i place the position of Galadima in its rightful hierarchy in the council” the emir said.
He said he will continue to maintain the existing cordial relationship between the Dallah Dunama family and of Musa Gana family.
He therefore, prayed Allah to continue to guide and give the Galadima family the health and wisdom to continue to contribute in the development of the Lafia traditional institution.
Blueprint gathered that in the past the Galadima used to be the second highest tittle in the Lafia emirate until it was relgated to the backgroung by previous emirs
