According to the statement, Lalong dissociated himself from any such account asking people to pay two hundred and fifty thousand naira for a purported youth empowerment scheme.

The statement said : “..Does not exist any programme for youth empowerment from him other than the one with the Plateau State Micro Medium Scale Enterprise Development Agency (PLASMEDA).

“Governor Lalong further advises members of the public to be wary of dubious schemes intended to fleece the accounts of innocent people.”

It said the Governor assured that security agencies have been detailed to look into the existence of such account in order to track down and bring to book those responsible.
