NGO tasks parents on girl child education, enjoins teachers to instill good moral on students

A Non-governmental Organization (NGO) Advocacy Center for Development (AC4D), has urged parents in Gombe state to commit more to girl child  education.
The Executive Director AC4D, Malam Ibrahim Yusuf, made the call during an interactive season with teachers and pupils of primary schools in Gombe to commemorate the Day of the African Child, organised by the NGO in collaboration with Gombe Local Education Authority (LEA)
The theme of the discussion is “breaking the silence”.

“It so sad to see that the level of violence and abuse minor is on the increase and the worst part is that most of these inhuman act are allegedly being perpetrated by school teachers.
“Today we now have so many class teachers arrested, some are in court and some are in prison. We would also want to call on parents, government and all stakeholders involved to see this issue of child abuse as a disaster,” he said.
