NGO urges special prayers, cautions against violence

The Modibbo Haruna Buhari Charity Organization (BCO) Abuja, an NGO, has charged Nigerians to offer special prayers for rancour-free general elections in 2019 in order to elect leaders of proven integrity. The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the organization, Mr. Modibbo Suleiman Masaka, made the call yesterday while speaking with journalists in Keffi local government area of Nasarawa state. He said fervent prayers by Nigerians would not only ensure a successful poll in 2019 but would also promote peace and unity in the country. He explained that the organization was ready to partner government and any organization towards creating awareness on the masses of the country to leave sentiments and vote credible and honest leaders come 2019. Suleiman-Masaka also drummed support for the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration beyond 2019 to enable him succeed in the delivery of the much needed dividends of democracy to the electorate while urging Nigerians to remain firm with him. The national chairman asked for support from government at all levels to enable the organisation achieve its mandate of promoting peace and rendering humanitarian services to the needy in the country
