Niger state: Democracy at its best

The state which housed the three hydro power stations is being positioned for greater developmental strides by the government of Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello-led All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.
Democracy is working in Niger state, the state governor has spread development across the state, no zone or local government is left out.
Abubakar Sani Bello, popularly call Lolo, is an ardent lover of rule of law, it is for this reason, every action taken by the government followed due process and this has results in achieving the desire results.
One action that has closed the gap between the govern and the government was the tour taken by the state governor.
The governor toured all the local government areas in the state, interacting with the people, getting first hand information from the people, thereby solving a lot of problems encountered by the lovely people of the state.
It is no wonder, Nigerlites are clamouring for the re-election of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello.
He has fulfilled most of the electoral pledges and still fulfilling others.
Water, which is the most essential necessity of the people has received wide attention from the Abubakar Sani led APC government.
The government has spent huge amount of money on water works in Minna, Bida, Suleija, Kontagora and other major towns in the state.
New equipment were imported and the water works overhauled to give efficient output.
Niger state being the largest state in the country in terms of land mass automatically makes it to have the largest federal roads in the state.
Governor Bello in his usual wisdom, did not spare time or wait for the central government to put the bad roads into a better shape.
The governor mobilised the little resources at its disposal and made sure the roads were repaired and in good condition.
This has eases movement in and out of the state.
Also, township roads in the urban areas have received major repairs and constructions, rural roads are being opened to ease movement among the rural dwellers.
Other sectors like health, agriculture, education have also been reinvigorate as clinics are being built across the state, hospitals being upgraded and renovated and drugs are now easily accessible.
Intervention on agricultural sector has given a boost to the morale of farmers.
This has resulted in high output from the farmers.
The government has made access to loan and other financial incentives easy for the farmers.
Most schools across the state were in a great disrepair .Governor Bello knowing the importance of education wasted no time to arrest the situation.
Most of the secondary and technical schools in the state are now wearing new looks.
The schools were wholly renovated and renovation is still going on in most of the schools Civil servants in the state can’t wish for more as the government of Abulolo has been up to the task.
Salaries are being paid as at when due as there is improved welfare for civil servants in the state .
It is worthy of note that the people of Niger state have gotten the change they yearned for, they wouldn’t have wished anything better than this.
Abubakar Sani Bello administration has added value to democracy, now, the people of the state know what it takes and the benefits of democracy.
In life, everyone aspires to have results for efforts, the people of Niger state’s effort in electing Abubakar Sani Bello as their governor is not in vain, their hopes were not dashed, they now brim with smiles on their faces, confi dence has been rebuilt in them, they now know their votes count.
The future is bright and hopefully better days are ahead .This is the reason majority of Nigerlites want Abubakar Sani Bello back in 2019.
