He said ” At 60, Nigeria remains a bless and prosperous Nation. A country of multiple tribes, rich mineral resources, talented and energetic millions of Youths. Nigeria certainly has what it takes to lead the world.

The NYCN President explained that ” this anniversary does not only reminds us of the sacrifices made by the nation’s founders, soldiers, public servants, Youths and others, but it also avail us the opportunity to reassess and redirect our nation for greatness.

” As a developing Nation, NYCN is aware of the challenges the country and its citizens have gone through in the last 60 years. But we are optimistic that these challenges, will make us stronger and better, he added.

Sukubo said “NYCN call for unity across our dear nation. Our strength lies in the unity and ones of Nigerian Youths. With unity, Nigeria will emerge from our present challenges stronger and more resilient than ever.

The Youth leader also noted that “it is also important for all of us to join hands to entrench good governance, foster inclusive economic development, and defend and protect our nation from all those who would wish us ill.

He continued ” NYCN laments the alarming rate of unemployment in Nigeria. We are also aware of the efforts made by President Muhammadu Buhari led administration to tackle unemployment. But, there is a need for the administration to do more.

” The Federal Government and even the State Government must do everything humanly possible to ensure that our environment encourages small and medium businesses to grow.

“We charge the government to fix the power, repair and reconstruct our roads, provide adequate and maximum security, make soft loan accessible for the Nigerian Youths and formulate more policies that will encourage talented Nigerian Youths to contribute their quota to the development of Nigeria.

” The NYCN urge President Muhammadu Buhari led administration to take cognizance of the fact that a nation that invests more in Youths, will develop and spend less in a war against insecurity. Nigeria Youths are the most hardworking and the most talented, if our energetic Youth get the necessary support, Nigeria will become a better place for all.

” In the area of empowerment for Nigerian Youths, we once again commend President Muhammadu Buhari and the Hon. Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday for the establishment of Nigeria Youth Investment Fund. We urge them to ensure that the money is accessible to deserving Youths.

” Similarly, NYCN commends the private sector for all their laudable support for Nigeria Youths. Adding that, without their support in the last 60 years, Nigeria won’t have been where it is.

” Finally, NYCN commends the resilience and doggedness of Nigeria Youths. We urge them to continue to pray and support all leaders for the development of Nigeria.

” We pray that God will continue to bless and guide our Youths and our leaders. May God bless Nigeria. Once again, happy independence day, Nigeria”.
