Nigeria can’t survive another 5 years of Jonathan – Nda-Isaiah

Samuel Aruwan

An aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential ticket ahead of the 2015 general elections, Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah, has stated that Nigeria cannot survive another five years under the Jonathan Administration.
Nda-Isaiah, who spoke to select journalists in Kaduna yesterday, added that the “serial failures” of President Goodluck Jonathan have become so obvious that Nigerians must vote him out in 2015.
He said: “This country cannot survive another term of Jonathan. I am not saying this as a politician, I am saying this as a Nigerian. We cannot survive it; we cannot survive what is happening now for another five years. And this should not do whether you are in PDP or APC.”

When asked to justify his position, the aspirant answered, “I don’t need to say anything, you know what is happening now. It is clear Nigeria cannot survive what is happening now for the next five years.
“What is Jonathan doing? Nigerians need to be governed properly and we are not getting it now. If I have to start telling you what Jonathan is not doing properly, then we can’t finish it and we need a full day.”

He also stated that he is working along with other Nigerians against manipulation of religion and ethnicity ahead of the elections, saying, “There are some of us that are bent on working that religion is not manipulated to deceive our people. Religion has never been an issue to me and it will not be. To me, I’ve never chosen my friends according to their religions. So, I can speak for myself and I don’t
know what others are doing but some of us will make sure that only the right people are elected in 2015.
“I am aware that some people in government are going round, preaching hate and dividing us. We will not allow that to happen. Even if I did not resign as the chairman of Leadership Newspapers, I would always say the truth. I will never sit on the fence because all I want is for people to prove me wrong on anything I said and I am still waiting, and no one has said what I am writing is not true.”
