Nigeria concludes 2018 Hajj operations as 111 officials arrive Abuja

The last flight for 2018 Hajj which signifies end of this year’s exercise took off today and landed on 24th of September with 111 officials from the media team, medical personnel and NAHCON staff.
Addressing newsmen at the departure lounge of King Abdul Azeez International Airport, Jedda, Barrister Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad, the Commission’s Chairman officially announced 2018 Hajj operations as over.
thanking the Almighty for the successful operation.
He equally appreciated Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, his Vice President, Yomi Osinbanjo, members of the National Assembly and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation for the significant roles they played in facilitating success of this year’s Hajj operations.
Others also singled out for appreciation are Secretaries of State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, their staff, the pilgrims themselves and staff of the Commission.
According to the statement signed by thevcommsion Head of Publics Affairs Divisions, Fatimab Sanda Usara, ” He praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for conducting a well organized Hajj season that had the welfare of pilgrims as its priority.
The Chairman, who along with a couple of staff are remaining behind for mop up duties, explained that they will go round Makkah to ensure that no pilgrim is left behind whether in the hospital, pilgrims’ lodges or anywhere else before they finally depart too.
Finally, prayers were offered for everyone’s safe trip back to Nigeria and their various homes.
