Nigeria Football Coaches Congress holds in Abuja

The 2014 Congress of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA) will hold in April in Abuja.
Revealing this at the weekend, the president of the body, Bitrus Bewarang, said the congress which is the highest decision making body of the association is expected to review the progress made by the association since the inauguration of the new executive last year.

Bewarang disclosed: “I have directed the secretary general of the association to convene a general congress to enable us review the progress made so far since the new executive came on board. We are also going to review some aspects of the association’s constitution, especially those that do not fall in line with the modern trends in football administration.

“Also there are some executive positions that we need to fill because the last time we met, some zones were not represented in present set up. So, their quotas need to be filled. All the state chapters would give us progress reports on the happenings in their various states.”
The Plateau United general manager expressed optimism that his administration would leave the coaches more united than he met them.

“We are fully determined to leave the coaches more united than we met them. We are very much concerned with coaches’ education. We want all our members to meet the minimum qualification requirements specified by CAF within the shortest possible time. We are behind when compared with other African countries. But I want to assure all Nigerian that we would close up the gap within the shortest possible time” the former Super Eagles’ assistant coach concluded.

The congress of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA) is the highest decision making body of the association, made up of the all the state chairmen and their secretaries.
