Nigeria to host 73rd meeting of APU in October

Nigeria will in October host the 73rd meeting of the African Parliamentary Union (APU) in Abuja, it was learnt yesterday.
Secretary-General of APU, Mr.
Nzi Koffi, disclosed this during a meeting with the President of the Senate, Dr.
Bukola Saraki, and the leadership of the National Assembly, in Abuja.
Saraki at the meeting said he is delighted that the country was selected by the body to host this year’s meeting.
He also welcomed the African Parliamentarians expected at the October 2 – 3, 2018 meeting in advance and pledged that all efforts are being made to ensure that the convocation is successful.
Earlier, the APU’s Scribe, Mr.
Koffi, thanked Saraki and the leadership of the National Assembly for accepting to host the 73rd Meeting of the body in October and said that the visit was under the auspices of the organizing committee for the meeting.
