Nigeria losses Ambassador to Cote D’Ivoire, Sani Bello mourns

Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello has commiserated with the family, the State and Federal Government over the death of Ambassador Isah Ibrahim, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire.

The Governor’s condolence message is contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary, Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace.

Governor Sani-Bello, who expressed profound shock over the death of the ambassador, described his demise as a great lose not only to the family and state but the entire country.

He eulogized the late Ambassador Isah Ibrahim, describing him as a patriotic Nigerian who’s made an unblemished contributions to the service of fatherland for over 35 years.

The Governor particularly noted the direct and indirect contributions of the deceased in the field of international diplomacy and regional hegemony describing him as a respected personality and core diplomat per excellence.

“We received the news of the death of Ambassador Isah Ibrahim with shock, indeed it is a heavy lose to us as government but we are consoled by fact that the deceased lived a worthy and fruitful life”.

While praying Allah to grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss, Governor Sani-Bello also prayed for the reposed soul of the deceased to be accepted in Jannatul Firdausi.

Ambassador Isah Ibrahim, who died at the age of 59 is from Azza in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State.

He was educated at LEA Ebbo in 1972, Govt. College Bida in 1979. His first degree was in International Studies at ABU, Zaria in 1982 and he did a Masters degree in International Law and Diplomacy at the University of Lagos.

Late Ambassador Isah Ibrahim was appointed Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire in 2016. Before then, he rosed through the ranks within the diplomatic corp, serving in various capacities including Head of Chancery in Sierra Leone, Saudi Arabia, China and Turkey.
