Nigeria needs peace, harmony – Ajimobi

The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC),  Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Sunday advocated for continuous peace and unity among Nigerians.

Senator Ajimobi made the call in his Eid-el- Fitr  message issued by his Special  Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Bolaji Tunji, made available to newsmen in Ibadan.

According to the immediate past governor of Oyo state, Nigeria will only achieve greatness in an atmosphere of peace and harmony, adding that this required all people to come together to seek understanding.

“It is only in an atmosphere of peace and love that people can thrive and attain their potentials. Nigeria should exhibit love towards  fellow human beings and re-dedicate themselves to the service of Almighty Allah and humanity as demonstrated by Prophet Mohammed. Let us use the period of this festival to pray for the peace, progress and economic emancipation of our dear country,” he said.

The APC deputy national chairman then tasked Nigerians to continue to cooperate with  President Muhammadu Buhari in the management of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Senator Ajimobi maintained that there was the need for Nigerians to continue to keep safe at this lockdown period as well as exercise patience, knowing full well that government was doing all in its power to ensure that the country was not adversely affected by the pandemic and its attendant economic implications.
