The annual Nigerian sports philanthropist award is set to hold Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
This was disclosed by the chairman of the organising committee, Vincent O. Michael, in a statement on Sunday, January 15, 2023.
The statement reads, “All is now set for the first edition of the Nigeria Sports Philanthropists Award which will hold at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre Abujaon February 15th, 2023.
“The prestigious Award which is jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) and the Society for the Promotion of Sports is to honour Nigerians and organizations that have used their resources to support sports in the country since Independence in 1960.
“The event which was earlier billed for January 20, 2023 was slightly postponed due to the desire of the organizers to stage a credible event which will leave a lingering memory in the minds of the worthy Awardees.
“We assure our guests of our readiness to put together an outing that will befit their efforts and time.”
