Nigeria vs S/Leone: We’ll put smiles on Nigerians faces by securing AFCON ticket-Musa

Super Eagles skipper Ahmed Musa has promised that the Gernot Rohr led side is ready to put smiles on faces of Nigerians by winning the AFCON double-header qualifiers against Sierra Leone so as to book their ticket to Cameroon in 2022.
Nigeria host the Leone Stars in Benin City on Friday with the return leg in Freetown on November 17.

The Eagles are top of their qualifying section with six points from two matches.
“We know that if won the next two games, we will qualify for the AFCON and by the grace of God we will do that,” said Ahmed Musa, who won the 2013 AFCON and finished third last year.

“Fans need victories and we hope to do that for them.”
Friday’s clash between the two West African teams will be played without fans due to the Covid-19 protocols.
“It’s sad we will not be playing in front of our fans,” the Eagles skipper admitted.
“Benin is my mother’s hometown and I would have loved to see my family watch me play.
“But there is nothing we can do because of the situation we find ourselves.”
