Nigeria vs Seychelles: Kalu plays down Man- of- the Match tag

Largely viewed as the best player on the pitch for Nigeria in their 3-0 win over Seychelles yesterday, Samuel Kalu says he has more to offer, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Kalu was lively on what was his debut for the senior national team of Nigeria and his evening performance was capped with winning the penalty from which Nigeria rounded up scoring.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com after the game, Kalu who plays for French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux said although he is happy with the win as it is good for the team, personally he didn’t play at his required level.
” As a team the win is good for our confidence going forward.
Winning 3-0 away from home is not a mean feat in African football.
So kudos must go to the coaches and the team as a whole”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com in an exclusive chat.
” Personally I’m happy with my performance but I can do much more and I would have but the pitch wasn’t great.
The ball didn’t bounce the way I would have liked severally.
I can and will do better in subsequent games”, he concluded.
