Nigeria vs Zambia: Eagles camp bubbles with Mikel, Ndidi, Musa, others

The Super Eagles training camp in Uyo is now bubbling ahead of the make or mar encounter on Saturday crucial World Cup qualifier against Zambia as skipper Mikel Obi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi and 14 other players have now reported to training yesterday. Others Eagles who have landed in Uyo include , Elderson Echiejile, Odion Ighalo, William TroostEkong, Leon Balogun, Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Mikel Agu, John Ogu, Oghenekaro Etebo, Anthony Nwakaeme, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Dele Ajiboye as well as two standby players, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi and Afeez Aremu both of Akwa United. Th e rest of the squad are expected in time for the team’s fi rst training session last night. Th e training will be open to the public, but offi cials said the sessions on Wednesday and Th ursday will be closed. Saturday’s match will kick off by 5pm inside the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo. A win for Nigeria will qualify them to next year’s World Cup in Russia. Th ey lead Group B with 10 points from 10 matches, while Zambia have seven points. Cameroon have three points and Algeria are on a point as both are no longer in contention for the ticket to the World Cup.
