Nigerian Embassy marks 59th Independence anniversary

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Liberia, led by Ambassador James G. Dimka, recently celebrated Nigeria’s 59th independence anniversary.

The celebration kicked off on October 1, 2019, with the hosting of Missions Aid International (a religion-based charity group), affiliated with the Charismatic Renewal Ministries in Nigeria, with a view to offering free medical services to indigent people in Liberia, including Nigerians living in the country.

Addressing the gathering, Amb. Dimka highlighted the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, and emphasised that the future of Nigeria was expectant with immense opportunities, enough to change the narrative of the country and, indeed, the continent of Africa for good.

He praised the work of the Charity group, earlier hosted and supported by the Embassy, and explained that the real significance of celebration was the ability to touch people’s lives, especially the indigent ones.
