Nigerian heads AICIS Media Investment Summit

 

African Infrastructure, Climate Change and Investment Summit International (AICIS) has appointed Hon. (Dr.) Oscar Sam Ugoh as its Adviser, Media and Publicity for Africa Investment Summit holding in Washington DC, USA in September this year. 

The appointment of Dr. Ugoh, who is a Ghanaian-based Nigerian publisher, was in respect of his unwavering contributions to the economic development in the Africa sub-region, International and Africa Business Ventures and Investment Group (ABVIG). 

The summit which is in collaboration with the United States Department of Energy, Ghana Ministry of Trade and Investment and the Nigerian Foreign Affairs Ministry with the Niger Delta Affairs, is to create awareness and enabling environment for investment opportunities that abound in the African continent with a view to funding prospective investors towards the development of Africa. 

The appointment letter solicits the cooperation of Dr. Ugoh in mobilising stakeholders in government and governors in Ghana and Nigeria towards ensuring their full participation in the summit.

The summit, according to the AICIS, is aimed at bringing together more than 1,500 participants including government officials, institutional investors, business executives, small business enterprises (SMEs), and project owners to exploit the investment and partnership opportunity in more than 12 trillion US dollars business opportunities in the infrastructure, Green-energy transition and climate change, Space & amp; Digital/AI technology infrastructure in Africa. 

According to the AICIS, development actors will include NGOs, Diaspora, multi- nationals who are expected to present a platform for the assessment of Africa economic and security infrastructure, as well as identify new development partners and focusing on increasing and mobilising development resources to contribute to Africa accelerated development mission by the US and other countries.

The summit, it said, will provide trade development partnership and export

opportunities between the US and African governments and private sector businesses.

Activities include summit opening ceremony, plenary session, breakout executive workshops on Africa Oil & amp; Gas. Power/Electricity/Renewable Energy, Security, Africa Mining, Africa Trade & amp; Investment/Import & Export promotion/

Exhibition, Agriculture, IT/AI, Diaspora, Dinner and certificates and award presentation ceremonies.
