Nigerian US ambassador urges youth to engage leaders in dialogue


The Nigerian Youth Ambassador to the United States, Dr Raymond Edoh, has called on the federal government to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

He stressed that Nigeria has the resources needed to make it possible.

Edoh, who made this call in a Sallah message,  said  the major challenge facing Nigeria at the moment is bad leadership coupled with lack of a transparent system which turns out to be the instrument for bad leadership.

He thanked the youth for their patience and endurance no and urged them to continue to believe in one Nigeria and a better Nigeria in the nearest future.

Edoh advised Nigerian youth not to allow themselves be used to
inflict pain on society through robbery, Kidnapping, and other societal vises.

Expressing optimism, he said the only way that Nigerian youth can get hold of power is by engaging the leaders in peaceful dialogue.

“Trust me, with dialogue and peace talks we will be in various offices in the nearest future,” he stated.

Edoh also urged Muslims to hold on to the lessons of selflessness, discipline, obedience, and sacrifice which is the essence of the celebration.

He advised Nigerian youth to stay and keep safe given the confirmed upsurge in COVID- 19 infections, adding that the Delta variant of the virus is already in the country.
