Nigerians advised on tribal, religious sentiments

Nigerians have been advised to do away with tribal and religious sentiments in dealing with one another in order to promote religious tolerance in the country.
Kaduna based politicians; Alhaji MaiKudi Tela made the appeal yesterday in a chat with newsmen.
He said there was the need for Nigerians to always embrace peace by respecting each other’s faiths and tribes.
He said: “We can only promote peace in the country by respecting each others faith; we have to know that we are Nigerians and we have no any other country than Nigeria. So, we must do its entire take to protect the country for our future generations to be proud of us.”

He further explained that as a people Nigerians should always see their diversity as a blessing and not a curse.
Maikudi also advised youths not to allow themselves be used as thugs to cause crisis, urging them to look for something so as to be sel-dependent.

He also commended Governor Muktar Ramalan  Yero for his efforts towards empowering youths in the state, particularly with the SURE-P funds.
On the political scene, Maikudi called on Nigerians to massively votes for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which, he said, “is the party for Nigerians.”
The PDP chieftain further urged Nigerians to support President Goodluck Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo ticket in 2015, saying that they deserved another chance.
