Nigerians in Ghana ‘endorse Jonathan for 2015’

Nigerians resident in Ghana have endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan for re-election in 2015.
This was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the 1st International Nigerian Youths Summit organised by a non-governmental organisation (NGO), Concerned Nigerian Youths Forum (CNYF).

It added that the Guest Speaker at the summit, Mr. Uche Bonny-Life Ndu, a public policy strategist at the United States Senate in New York City, commended Jonathan for “his love for the youth through his deliberate policies that are aimed at turning around the fortunes of Nigerian youths.”
“There has been much to celebrate in Nigeria since President Goodluck Jonathan took office, despite the numerous challenges he has had to face,” he said.
Ndu challenged Nigerians, especially the youth, to think beyond academic and personal success, and “realise that doing good for Nigeria is better than feeling good for Nigeria.”

The group also applauded the on-going National Conference, and called on Nigerians at home and in The Diaspora to ignore “the cynics of the opposition and give massive support to President Jonathan who has re-defined the political equation of the country towards self-sufficiency, unity and development.”
Other speakers included Dr. David Oluwadare Mark, a lecturer at Pan African University College, Ghana, the Chief Host, Mrs Briggs Sokipre, Chairman of All Nigerians in Ghana, Comrade Moses O. T. Owharo, HRH Eze Samuel Ekezie (Ugochinenereze I  of Ghana, PDP Chairman, Ghanaian Chapter, Dr. T. Thorpe, President of Nigerian Women in Ghana, Mrs.
Hope Oscar and NANS President, Ghanaian Chapter, Mr. Paul Bull and a senior Nigerian diplomatic staff who represented the Nigerian High Commission to Ghana who was the Special Guest of Honour at the occasion.
