Nigeria’s Women league postponed by a week

The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has announced the postponement of the 2020 NWFL Premiership scheduled to kick off tomorrow, Wednesday.
In a statement released and made available to Blueprint Sport by the league management and signed by the Chief Operating Officer, Ayo Abdulrahman, the postponement was caused by failure of some clubs to register adequately.

According to the statement, the postponement was an opportunity for the affected clubs to meet up with registration for the season in order to avoid any other irregularities.
The affected clubs include Osun babes, Pelican Stars, Ibom Angels, Dream Stars Ladies, Heartland Queens, FC Robo, Royal Queens, Abia Angels, Adamawa Queens, Confluence Queens, Delta Queens and Sunshine Queens.

The NWFL season will now start next Wednesday, 25th march, 2020.
