NIM harps on professional conduct, vows to sanction corrupt members

National President of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Mrs. Patience E. Anabor, has said the institution will sanction any of its members found to be corrupt in the society.

She stated this Wednesday while inaugurating the NIM University of Abuja chapter in Abuja.

Anabor said management of the Institute should practice according to the rules and regulations guiding the operations of the institution, stressing: “If we catch any corrupt member, we will not hesitate to delete such member from our list.

“Look at the example of the corrupt bankers, who were sacked because their management found out that they were corrupt. I will not have to mention names here because what we want is to make the society a better one. When you are in the society, and you are doing well and obeying code of conduct corruption will reduce. So I advise Nigeria and Nigerians to be good ambassadors of their society and forge a better way of living.”

She tasked the newly inaugurated UniAbuja NIM chapter to abide by the rules and regulations of the organisation for efficiency in the conduct of affairs.

The NIM University of Abuja chapter chairman, Professor Y.A. Zioka,

said the inauguration of the UniAbuja chapter will help members to build good culture and commit to the country to good moral and professional conduct
