He said since they all called for another edition, they will another edition next year.
“I’m full of joy.
We have 130 school children that participated in this year’s clinic with over 15 facilitators coordinated by a national coach.
The joy I have is seeing these children of four to five years coming out for the clinic.
That means there is something that we are missing.
“There are many things we need to tap into as a country.
Next year, private sector will be invited to participate because these are young children, the little ones that would take over from us when we are too old to continue.
My passion is first grassroots, I want to do everything to develop these children and sports at the grassroots level.” The Zonal Coordinator North West, Federal Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social Development, Mr Olusola Luke said they expect the children to take the story of the clinic back to their homes and their schools that next year they expect many more participants.
He said the ministry is monitoring the players for talents that can be nurtured to represent the country.
Representatives of the children and the facilitators thanked Engineer Nimrod for sponsoring the clinic, while appealing to him not to relent in his efforts at developing the sport and youth at the local level.
