NIS promotes Minimah, others

The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) Muhammad Babandede has promoted Jummai Minimah to the rank of Assistant Comptroller General of NIS.

Minimah has since been decorated with her new rank.

Until her recent elevation, she was a Chief Superintendent in the Service.

Minimah who has worked in various departments and units in the NIS before rising to her present position, have also distinguished herself in her role as an officer at the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Alien Card (CERPAC) unit.

This medium report that her promotion was coming on the heels of 100 officers who were similarly promoted by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Board (CDCFIB), via a letter referenced CDCFIB/NIS/DTS/CORR/503/138.

In a statement from the office of the Public Relations Officer of the NIS, Sunday James, he quoted the total number of senior officers promoted to include; 29 Comptrollers of Immigration Service (CIS) promoted to Assistant Comptroller Generals (ACGs), while 71 Deputy Comptrollers of Immigration (DCI) were promoted to Comptrollers of Immigration Service (CIS).
