NIS warns against ongoing fake recruitment

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has warned the unsuspected job seekers to beware of a “fake recruitment site” being operated by fraudsters under the caption “Nigeria Immigration Service 2019/2020 form.”

The Comptroller General Mohammed Babandede, through a statement signed yesterday in Abuja, by the NIS spomesman, Sunday James, warned against falling into such trap, adding that his agency “has not engaged any agent or Person(s) in this respect, anyone touting recruitment should be reported to the nearest NIS formation.”

The statement reads: “The attention of the Comptroller General of Immigration Muhammad Babandede MFR has been drawn to a “fake Recruitment site” operated by Fraudsters captioned Nigeria Immigration Service 2019/2020 form.

“Nigeria Immigration Service is taking every measure to uncover those behind the fraudulent advert and therefore  advice the Public to desist from Patronizing such sites, every official Communication on issues relating to the Service has an official platform used which includes advert in approved national dailies and the official website.

“Noteworthy, the NIS has not engaged any agent or Person(s) in this respect, anyone touting recruitment should be reported to the nearest NIS formation. The NIS will continue to deliver its core values and service to the general public, any recruitment exercise will be made public in line with approved government policy.”
