NLC mourns NULGE President


The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has expressed shock at the death of its national treasurer, Comrade Ibrahim Khaleel Abdulkadir, describing him as a great leader, whose death will be a huge loss to the Labour movement.  
Late Comrade Ibrahim Khaleel, who before his death was the President of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), died at the National Hospital Abuja on Wednesday after an illness. 


NLC Kaduna state council in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman, and the Secretary, Comrade Christiana John Bawa, described the sudden death of Comrade ibrahim Khaleel Abdulkadir, as a great loss to the Labour movement, his family and the country at large.
Kaduna state council of NLC commiserated with the “President, Central Working Committee (CWC) and National Executive Council (NEC) members of NLC and NULGE, his immediate family, friends and his close associates over his demise.


“The late treasurer of NLC and President of NULGE is a pillar in the struggle, an icon in the movement whose death has created a vacuum that would be very difficult to fill. Ibrahim was a great leader who contributed positively to the welfare of the local government employees and served Nigeria Labour Congress with dedication and commitment,”
The statement prays Allah to forgive his shortcomings and make paradise his final abode.
Kano state NULGE President, Malam Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, who confirmed the former NLC chieftain”s death on Wednesday night, said that the deceased would be buried in Wudil, local government area of Kano state Thursday afternoon. Ibrahim Khaleel, an indigene of Wudil, Wudil Local Government Area of Kano state, was re-elected National President of Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employees (NULGE) and National Treasurer of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC.
