NMS Old Boys dole out furniture to military school

The 1976-1981 set of the Nigerian Military School, Zaria, Old Boys have donated furniture to the school to enhance working and learning conditions in the school.
This was contained in a statement signed by the School Commandant, Brig.- Gen. Mukhtar Muhammed Bunza in Zaria, yesterday.
The donation was presented when the set led by its chairman, Engr. Marcel Njoku, visited the school to see its situation for themselves.
While presenting the furniture the chairman said that the donation was to complement of the Commandant towards infrastructure development, academic excellence and uncompromising stand on discipline and character development of the students.
He assured the commandant of their continued readiness to address other pressing challenges being faced by the school.

The commended by the school boss for his commitment in raising the standard of their alma mater with full support of Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Burutai.
Responding, the Commandant thanked the set for the gesture accorded to the school.
He pointed out that despite the fact the school was in dire need of more support from other set of its ex-Boys it enjoyed tremendous support from other prominent ex-Boys notably among whom was Chief of Defence Staff and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Gen. Gabriel Abayomi Olanisakin and Engr. Babachir David Lawal, respectively, who undertook renovation, modernisation and equipping of the school kitchen and seven dining halls, funding renovation and furnishing of two blocks of classrooms.
Bunza further told the visiting set that other prominent ex-Boys of the school, Governor of Niger state, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, had also promised to construct 24-bedroom transit accommodation for Officers and renovation of the School’s sports complex.
“The school’s outstanding performances in both academic and military studies stand at 100 per cent pass in WAEC result recently.”
