NMVA sensitises road users on traffic rules(3)

The Niger state Motor Vehicle Administration (NMVA) popularly known as
Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) has taken steps to sensitive road users to comply with traffic rules and regulations in Suleja, a populous neighbourhood town with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Zonal Commander in charge of the area, Muhammed Usman Shettima made
this known in a chat with Blueprint. He warned the public to desist
from patronising reckless vehicles on the road.

Shettima who is also an Assistant Chief Vehicle Inspection Officer
encouraged motorists to cultivate the habit of renewing their papers
before being caught  adding that he used  to give orientation patrol
while dealing with offenders on the road.

He called on drivers in the town and environs to visit their offices
to update their papers as at when due just as he warned that
vehicles causing traffic grid- lock would be arrested and prosecuted.

The VIO boss reiterated commitment to give priority attention on
surveillance to ensure free flow of traffic even as he enjoined
motorists to always abide by traffic rules of the state.

Shettima implored drivers in the area to patronise computerised
inspection office established in the area aimed at enhancing the life
span of their vehicles through regular checks.

He also appealed to the chairman of Suleja local government council on
logistic assistance to enable them perform their duty efficiently in
the area of traffic control and management.
