Nnamdi Kanu breaks silence after court denied him bail, tells followers what to do

Detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, Tuesday, said he expected the verdict of Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja which denied him bail.

Justice Nyako had in ruling on June 28, 2022 denied Kanu bail and adjourned his trial till November 14, 2022.

The trial in denying the IPOB leader bail, said he must state why he just earlier bail granted him in 2019.

The 54-year-old Kanu then asked the people of the southeast region to “remain calm” and make the region peaceful.

“It is what we expect. But I want our people to be very calm. I want Biafranland to be calm, calm, and very peaceful. We are fighting to defend our people, not to kill them.

“We are fighting to defend them, that’s why I’m here. And we will continue to do so, until we get victory.”
