NNDC to construct N740m shopping mall in Kaduna

The New Nigerian Development Company (NNDC) yesterday signed a contract agreement for the construction of a N740 million multi-purpose shopping mall in Kaduna with Lubell Nigeria limited.

The multi-purpose mall is expected to have 51 let table spaces of different sizes, a space to accommodate a bank, restaurant and a parking space for at least 62 cars, and it is expected to be completed within 65 weeks.

In his remarks, at the signing ceremony, the Group Managing Director (GMD), Dr Ahmed Musa Mohammed, said the decision of the company to embark on the project was in line with the renewed strategy mandate of consolidation and growth through which it planned to increase investments within specific sectors of the economy.

“An appraisal of the project has been carried out and we found out that the project is economically viable haven followed due process in the award, it is expected to pay itself within a span of 10 years,” he said.

In his remarks, the Managing Director of the Lubell Nigeria Limited, Arc Yunusa Yakubu, and the Managing Director of the Z-Design Development Consulting Ventures, Arc Ibeanu Chike Chamberlan, thanked the NNDC management for the opportunity afforded them, and assured that they would not only deliver promptly and timely, but according to standards.
