No criminal elements can divide Nigeria – Jonathan

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has assured that no criminal group in whatever name be it Boko Haram or any other international terrorists can disintegrate Nigeria.
The President said this on Sunday while receiving the FCT delegation led by the FCT Minister Senator Bala Mohammed, that paid him Easter Homage at the Presidential Villa.
According to him, “the nation is going through some challenges, but there is hope as Nigeria will overcome every one of them”.
President Jonathan also promised that his administration will do everything possible to continue to bring development to the nook and crannies of the country
He therefore called for closer collaboration from all the three tiers of government to collectively work in order to solve every minute problem in the country.

The President said Easter is the most important ceremony in Christian faith; adding that without the resurrection of Jesus Christ, “our faith would have been in vain”.
“His resurrection gives us hope. You will have tribulations but there is hope for you. Today we are marking that resurrection.”

He said that when Nyanya bus terminal was unfortunately attacked, Nigerians from all religions and tribes participated in the evacuation of the victims even before security agents arrived and people donated blood even more than required.
Meanwhile, Minister of  the FCT, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, who led the delegation comprising both Christians and Muslims resident in the FCT, presented Easter card to the President.

The minister prayed that the spirit of this holy season bring the President and his family hope and unhindered opportunities of fulfilling his dreams of transforming the entire country.

Philip Tanimu Aduda, the Senator representing FCT, Chairman, Senate Committee on FCT, Senator Smart Adeyemi, Minister of Special Duties, Alhaji Turaki, FCT Permanent Secretary, Engineer John O. Chukwu, FCT CAN Chairman, Israel Akanji, and Chief Imam of Abuja National Mosque, Sheikh Musa Mohammed, were among those on the entourage of the FCT minister to the Presidential Villa.
