The Speaker of the Platrau State House of Assembly, Hon. Abok Ayuba, has broken his silence on the alleged impeachment planed on him.
He said there was no time that any issue of implemented came up against by any member or members of the Assembly.
In recent times some section of the media was awashed with romoured planned impeachment of the speaker, over procurement of members official vehicles.
However, for the first Hon. Ayuba, personally debunked the romoure, during a parly with some select newsmen in Jos.
“We are working as a family that I know, but when you talk on the issue of impeachment, God gives leadership and when God give destination you cannot argue with Him, I am telling you that there is nothing like that in the house of assembly,” he said.
According to him, members are working as a team for the People of the State devoid of party lines, or individual selfishness.
“I am telling you that any romour that you might have heard from outside, is not true in the house of asdembly,” he debunked.
Hon. Ayuba said the house has for the first time passed budget proposal within the ending year, adding that members will work hard to ensure strict oversight functions and proper implementation of the budget to, “not less than 80 percent.”
He said after his emergence a speaker people keep on telling him that he is too young to be in that position, “but I believe that can make that change for the good.”
On the issue of extending tenures of management committee chairmen of LGC’s, he said they will continue to do everything possible to maintain the peace being enjoied in the state.
Hon. Abok said he has within short time learnt how to be a leader, having been seeking advices from the ranking members of the house.
