No one right to take another’s life – Kaura council boss

Administrator, Kaura local government area of Kaduna state, Mr. Basahuwa Agog, has said that nobody had the right to take another’s life, noting that it was “a sacred and precious gift from God to mankind.” Basahuwa said this recently at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Tachira, in Takad Chiefdom, in continuation of advocacy visit he paid to churches and mosques in the area. According to him, peace is the panacea for speedy socio-economic and political transformation of any society, and applauded the people for their resolve to put behind the ugly experiences of the past and live in harmony with one another.

He urged the people to sustain the existing understanding and peaceful atmosphere in the area in other to provide Kaduna state government with the enabling environment to execute meaningful project that will enhance their well being. In his remarks, the Agwam Takad, His Royal Highness, Mr. Tobias Nkom Wada, described the peace and confi dence-building programme of the administrator as the reason for the understanding and relative peace in the local government. Also speaking, Rev. Shinkut Yashim, of ECWA Church, Fada Kagoro, and Rev. Ambi Samson John of First ECWA Church, Garaje, extolled the virtues of the administrator, who according to them, means well for the people. Th e spiritual fathers appealed to the Kaduna state government to re-open the College of Education, Gidan Waya, College of Nursing, Kafanchan, and the Kaduna State University, Kafanchan campus, as relative peace had returned to the area.
