…No time to rest yet, Buratai tells troops

From Musa Umar Bologi Damaturu Chief of Army Staff , Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, yesterday told fi ghting troops in the North-east frontlines that there was no time for them to rest yet, stressing that resilience was still needed to clear remnants of Boko Haram terrorists in the region. Addressing troops of 3 Division Tactical Command in Damaturu, Yobe state, the army chief also charged the troops to be vigilant and to continue to work together with other security agencies to clear the remnants of the terrorists, whom he said had devised a means of attacking isolated settlements in order to remain relevant. Earlier in the palace of Emir of Damaturu, Alhaji Shehu Hashimi Ibn Umar El-kenemi, the army boss also said desperation by Boko Haram terrorists to remain relevant have occasioned their resent tactics of kidnapping innocent citizens for ransom.
