No vacancy in AMAC chairmanship seat – Aide

As the countdown to the 2019 general elections gathers momentum, the Press Secretary to Hon.
Abdullahi Adamu Candido, Chairman Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Comrade Dayo Lawal has said that the efforts of his boss to fast-track development in the council has led to no vacancy in the office of the chairman.
Lawal stated this in an interview with our correspondent yesterday in Abuja.
He said Hon.
Candido’s two and half years in office has delivered unique solutions to serious challenges facing the AMAC residents.
According to the AMAC spokesperson, the APC led government in the council is making steady progress, especially in the areas of economy, tackling insecurity, construction of roads, schools, markets, health care centres, fighting corruption and others.
“Candido deserves a second term to enable him complete his infrastructure development and provide more.
We are delighted that he has decided to recontest, and we shall fully support his bid,” Lawal said.
The press secretary further appealed to APC members and AMAC residents to give their support to Hon.
Candido, as he is the only chairman that has given to the people dividends of democracy within a short time in office, thereby foreclosing any vacancy in the office.
