#NotTooYoungToRun: ANN ‘ll open space for young aspirants

The leadership of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), has described the recent signing of the #NotTooYoungToRun Bill by President Muhammadu Buhari as an indication of the readiness of Nigerian youths to access leadership positions in the country.

The party also guaranteed that it was the surest platform for the youths who are willing and ready for elective positions.

In a statement signed Tuesday by the Chairman of the party, Dr. Jay Osi Samuels, he praised Nigerian youths’ doggedness “in joining in the quest for good leadership and structural reform of the political space”

The statement reads: “The National Working Committee, Board of Trustees and the entire membership of the Alliance for New Nigeria ANN, are happy to felicitate with the Nigerian Youth on this milestone in the signing into law of the #NotTooYoungToRunBill by the president.

“This once again demonstrates the doggedness and readiness of the Nigerian youth in joining in the quest for good leadership and structural reform of the political space in the country of which the Alliance for New Nigeria, ANN stands for.

“The ANN as a political party committed to a new order that would engender greater participation of new breed politicians of which the Nigerian youth is the fulcrum, wishes to assure all Nigerian youths of the readiness of ANN to provide a level playing ground that would promote greater youth participation at all levels of the electioneering process come 2019 and beyond.

“We are therefore pleased to request all Nigerian youths, to embrace this unique opportunity and ensure they register and obtain their permanent voters cards (PVCs) from their respective INEC polling centers, while also identifying with ANN party membership at all wards across the nation, as we strive towards building a New Nigeria of our dreams”.
