Now, best time to dislodge APC – Lagos PDP chair

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos state, Hon. Segun Adewale, has said the council polls could have been the best time to dislodge All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state. Adewale said this while addressing newsmen after castinghis vote at Poling Unit 019 Ward A in Agbado Oke-Odo local council development area of Alimosho. Th e PDP chairman, who expressed concern over the lingering crises in Lagos PDP, said that he was ready down for the peace to reign in the party. “Th ere is a challenge APC right now, a serious challenge, so APC is divided right now. So, if we have a formidable PDP contesting with APC, we will win 100 per cent. It is sad that some people are bent on dividing us. When we are divided we would not be able march the strength of the divided APC. Th at’s why I go alone,” he said. He condemned the movement of a section of the PDP, loyal to Sen. Ahmed Makarfi , the National Chairman of PDP to the Labour Party (LP) and Accord Party in the election. He said he had off ered to step down as PDP chairman in the state in May for Hon. Moshood Salvador-led faction for the sake of the council elections. He, however, said he had mandate of the national leadership as PDP chairman in the state, adding that the delegate congress that produced him was monitored by the national body
