Th e National Pension Commission has fi nalized arrangements for the 2017 Pre-Retirement workshop targeted at staff of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) who are due to retire between January and December 2018. Th e workshop, which is designed to educate the attendees on the modalities for accessing retirement benefi ts under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), will hold between 28 June, 2017 and 14 July, 2017 at various centres within the six (6) geo-political zones of the Federation and the FCT. A release signed by the Commission’s Head, Corporate Communications Department, Emeka Onuora, urged all MDAs to make necessary arrangements for logistics and other incidentals to ensure full attendance and participation of their intending retirees at the Workshop. “It is the responsibility of the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to sponsor their prospective retirees to the workshop. It is important to note that the workshop is not for people who have already retired,” the release stated.
